This is the inaugural Colonsay Cinderella stamp issue, from 2018, featuring six stamps that depict Tobair Fhuair beach, Loch Fada, Riasg Buidhe village, Kiloran Bay, Colonsay House, and a local “traffic jam”!
U/M / Unmounted Mint / MNH / Mint Never Hinged.
The stamps are fantasy Cinderellas with no postal function, but are labels intended to accompany standard Royal Mail postage stamps on mail for the UK mainland.
The creators of the stamps, who visit Colonsay regularly, intend that there will be no more than one issue each year, each one depicting and celebrating island life. Following the inaugural 2018 issue, featuring six local scenes, a further set of stamps, depicting Colonsay Landscapes, was produced in May 2019.
Our blog post, following a holiday on the island, gives more information about the places featured on Colonsay's labels to date.
