Description
This is a lovely collection of 25 modern used stamps from independent Croatia (i.e. issues from 1991 and beyond), all off paper, all different, and featuring a variety of commemoratives and definitives.
Be aware that each of the four lots that we are selling features the same 25 stamps, as shown in the picture, though the postmarks will obviously be different from one packet to the next.
We have been through to remove any damaged stamps, but have included a spare (26th) stamp in each lot in case we’ve missed one.
About Croatia
Croatia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991 and began issuing its own stamps, inscribed “Republika Hrvatska”, the same year.
Previously, during the Second World War, German and Italian occupying forces produced stamps for the “Independent State of Croatia” (inscribed “Nezavisna Država Hrvatska”, or “ND Hrvatska”) between 1941 and 1951.
