Description
Three interesting and hard-to-find revenue stamps from Croatia, believed to date from 1944 during the time of the “Independent State of Croatia” puppet state.
Each one is inscribed “Obćinska Pristojba” (meaning “Municipal Tax”), and bears the additional wording “Graneš. Dubrava”, an abbreviation of “Granešinska Dubrava”, an area that is understood to be part of modern-day Zagreb.
This lot includes three stamps – 10 kuna orange, 50k pink, and 100k green – all of which are lightly hinged mint (LHM).
