Description
For a long time, we have produced our own Cinderella labels which we affix to the back of mail that we send out to customers, and cancel with a “Graham Land” postmark.
Following on from our first perforated and gummed “Islands of the United Kingdom” fantasy issues in January 2019 and July 2019, which proved popular, we produced a third issue, featuring a single stamp, on 28 March 2020.
This particular label was produced with the express intention of being given away as the free gift with the April 2020 issue of the Cinderella Stamp Club‘s quarterly magazine, The Cinderella Philatelist. It therefore bears the special inscription “Celebrating the Cinderella Stamp Club”, alongside an original photograph of St Mary’s Island and lighthouse near Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear. The denomination is “37g”, in the fictional currency of “grahams” as usual.
Due to the issue’s purpose, the print run (570), on matt paper, was much larger than for previous Graham Land labels. 400 of those were distributed in mint condition exclusively to Cinderella Stamp Club members – one of which sold on eBay for nearly £7! In turn, we are offering cancelled-to-order (CTO) examples here.
As before, it is being sold at cost price, and limited to one per customer, per order. We are not intending to print any more once current stocks run out.
