Description

Set of 16 Isle of Man definitive stamps, issued in 1973 upon the occasion of the island’s postal independence.

The issue comprises ½p, 1p, 1½p, 2p, 2½p, 3p, 3½p, 4p, 5p, 6p, 7½p, 9p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1 values, as illustrated.

To reflect changing postal rates, five additional values were released in 1975 (4½p, 5½p, 7p, 8p, 11p) – all but the 11p repeating designs that had been used previously – but these are NOT included in this particular lot.
