The first ever stamps issued by Moldova, in 1991, featuring the country’s coat of arms on the 7k and 13k values, and the national flag on the 30k stamp. All are imperforate.

Located between Romania and Ukraine, Moldova gained its independence after the break-up of the USSR in 1991, until which point it was more commonly known as Moldavia.
