Description

For a long time, we have produced our own Cinderella labels which we affix to the back of mail that we send out to customers, and cancel with a “Graham Land” postmark.

Following the positive reaction to our first perforated and gummed “Islands of the United Kingdom” fantasy issue in January 2019, we have produced a second set, in July 2019, featuring three more island views.

Customers who wish to purchase a single unmounted mint set can do so at the cost price of just £1.

About the issue

This is the second in a series of issues celebrating “Islands of the United Kingdom”, some of which are known for producing their own local stamps. All are denominated in the fictional currency of “grahams” (g). This particular set features two different Holy Islands, though neither is the stamp-issuing Holy Island of Eynhallow!

The three values in the set, issued on 17 July 2019 and printed on glossy paper, all feature original photographs as follows:

  • 21g: View across Holy Island Beach to Lindisfarne Castle, Lindisfarne, Northumberland
  • 39g: Elin’s Tower, Holy Island (Ynys Gybi), Anglesey, Wales
  • 44g: View of Kiloran Bay from the top of Carnan Eoin, Colonsay, Scotland.

The initial print run was just 60 copies of each stamp, most of which end up used on customer orders. No further stocks of the glossy paper are available, so once these are sold that’s it!

For a 2021 reprint of the 44g value on matt, rather than glossy, paper, see here.
